Basic Burpee

To do the Basic Burpee, start standing with your feet close together. Then squat down and place your hands on the ground in front of your feet.

Jump your feet back so that you are in the high plank position with your body in a nice straight line from your head to your heels. Beginners may need to step their feet back instead of jumping them back. Make sure that you keep your butt down in the plank position and that you don’t jump back so far that your hands are way out in front of your shoulders. Try to keep your hands outside your chest.

Then perform a push up, dropping your chest to the ground between your hands. Make sure your body moves as one unit to touch your chest to the ground.

Push back up to the high plank position then jump your feet back in to your hands. As you stand back up, jump up off the ground.

Beginners may not want to include the jump at the top or the push up.

After you jump up, squat back down and repeat the move.
